OCM will participate in the annual Manufacturing Week activities for the Ottawa-Carleton region.
Manufacturing Week, February 23 – 27 2009 is intended to highlight manufacturing in the region, to others in industry, to local school systems and students, and to the general public. The OMN wants to build on the success of Manufacturing Week 2008, more tours and more manufacturing firms that will open their doors to the public.
A variety of events are planned for the week, some by invitation only, but many open to the general public.

In this very interactive session, Carlos Fox will share five best practices that are common among very effective leaders: You will explore how these leaders
(1) build the best possible team of direct reports
(2) are the Chief Priority Officer of their business and personal life to achieve focus and balance in their life
(3) strive to be master communicator in all they do
(4) become more self aware to lead others
(5) use “Third Opinions” to reduce their risk and make better decisions.
Fox will focus on engaging the group in a discussion around the backdrop of these five areas of leadership effectiveness. You will come away with some easy-to-apply ideas, actions and tools that would increase your personal effectiveness as a leader.

Carlos Fox is an executive coach with over 4000 hours of one-to-one coaching sessions with CEO and Key executives. Carlos is Chair of four TEC (The Executive Committee) peer groups of CEOs and Key Executives in the Capital Region.
