History

OCM Manufacturing serves companies with low- to mid-volume electronics in Ontario, Quebec and the northeastern United States. We are the most experienced and stable contract electronics manufacturing organization in the region. Since 1988, OCM has utilized advanced surface mount technology and supply chain techniques to provide superior electronic contract manufacturing for low- to mid-volume products.

Since 1988

Founded as OCM Technology, an offshoot of the Ontario Centre for Microelectronics, our early business focused on designing and manufacturing specialty microprocessor-based industrial automation modules for a number of leading global original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), including General Electric and Husky Injection Molding Systems.

For Low- to Mid-Volume Electronics

In the late 1990s, we reinforced our engineering and manufacturing-related capabilities to serve what we identified as an underserved market: companies producing low- to mid-volume electronics. In 2004, we further solidified this commitment by establishing our present brand and name: OCM Manufacturing.

We set up complementary operations in China in 2004, focusing initially on sourcing lower cost components and subcontracting assembly of high-labour products. In early 2007, we expanded our Asian sourcing operations to provide original design manufacturing (ODM) and rapid prototyping services. We continue to leverage the capabilities we have developed over nearly 20 years to manufacture low- to mid-volume products at all stages of life.

Electronic manufacturing services represent the mainstay of our business. Our customer base includes companies producing their first products, to those in product trials and those with established brand names in their fields.
